Haeyven
Haeyven is the creator of an award winning, innovative fitness machine: the Antagonist. This machine enables bidirectional training, allowing both active and supporting muscle groups to be trained at the same time.
The Antagonist originated with two Germans, Mattias Weiß and Chris Humberger. They were familiar with the flywheel used in RP3 Rowing’s rowing machine and saw an opportunity to combine it with bidirectional training.
When their ideas failed to gain traction, they approached Jan Lammers of RP3 Rowing. Jan was immediately inspired, sat down at the drawing board, and developed the idea further into a first steel construction. It consisted of little more than a few pieces of steel, some arms, and flywheels with the right functions. All three of them felt good about the concept. Together, they decided to move forward and founded a new company: Haeyven. From there, a new prototype was built.
How the collaboration with Beeliners began
From the moment the first prototype was built, new questions emerged. The data from the Antagonist needed to be displayed, but far less data was available for it than for something like a rowing machine. This created a need for a suitable interface that stayed accurate in the lower range.
Haeyven already had connections with MoveLab, who recommended Beeliners as a suitable partner. After a positive first contact, the two decided to work together. Throughout the project, choices about the interface’s design and required functions were made jointly.

The collaboration in practice
From the outset, Haeyven gave Beeliners a free hand in designing a suitable interface, with the device’s dimensions as the only constraint. Beeliners came up with a prototype, which was then tested and refined further from there.
There was close contact between the engineers at Beeliners and Haeyven, working in sprints throughout the process. The collaboration was experienced as very positive, and several projects between Haeyven and Beeliners are already underway.
Project – Antagonist
How Beeliners equipped the Antagonist with smart sensors, electronics, and an innovative interface.

Jan Lammers, co-founder of Haeyven, on the long term, lasting collaboration with Beeliners
“It is very important to have a supplier who has a feeling for your product and knows what your company stands for. The basis for creating a good cooperation with few words. We have found the party in Beeliners that meets this requirement. Haeyven goes for long-term and sustainable partnerships. That ensures that more projects are currently underway in cooperation with Beeliners.
We consciously chose to make Antagonist sales-dependent. This can only be done on the basis of good faith. However, this means that sufficient knowledge must be present. Beeliners is a supplier with specific knowledge and that is very important in our case.
Meanwhile, the next project is also already under construction. This is the rowing machine ‘Aqua’. Instead of working from the flywheel, this takes a different approach.”
“Together we make your idea reality.”
